Our History
The Imperial Court, An Auxiliary of the A.E.A.O.N.M.S., Inc.
In 1905, Minnie T. Frazier Conway conceived the idea of an auxiliary to the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Inc (A.E.A.O.N.M.S). Two years later, a group of ladies petitioned the Imperial Council of A.E.A.O.N.M.S. to form the auxiliary and have it recognized. The petition was accepted, and at the 1907 Imperial Council Session, the motion passed authorizing the organization of Courts of the Daughters of Isis.
In 1909, these Courts petitioned the Imperial Council to organize a Grand Court. On August 23, 1910, with 12 courts represented at the Imperial Council Session, the Imperial Council instituted the Imperial Court of the Daughters of Isis of North & South America, which held its first Imperial Court Session on August 24, 1910. Today, the Imperial Court consists of more than 250 Constituent Courts, with a growing membership of more than 15,000 members in the continental United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Germany, and Japan.
